Q - When might you need a coach or mentor?
A - Frequently
Jan works with a mentor who provides a sounding board for her ideas, goals and aspirations. Business environments are rapidly changing. Regular meetings with a mentor or coach will help you to deal with uncertainty, complexity, stresses and competing demands.
You will get maximum benefit from this journey if you:
- Have a strong personal drive and a desire to grow
- Are willing to put in the mental and emotional effort
- Are prepared to persevere, even when it is challenging and hard work
Jan will work with you to explore how you can perform at your best in these environments. In turn, you will increase your skills, confidence and motivation to coach and lead others.
Jan is an inspiring, warm and motivating speaker, whose life stories will inspire you to face the many challenges life hands you and to believe in yourself so you are able to achieve your goals.
Jan has many stories to tell, from a childhood living at a lighthouse, attending more schools than she can count, leaving school before age 15, marrying at 17 years to finding herself widowed at age 37 leaving her with 4 teenagers and a 6 year old. Hear how she went on to train as a teacher in her 40s before embarking on her professional career, followed by remarriage, step-parenting and a career in management and leadership in several not-for-profit organisations.
Jan’s stories will challenge your ideas about facing life's adversities with a positive attitude. They will make you laugh, most of all they will motivate you to believe in yourself, help you set your own goals and work to achieve them.
Jan can work with you to plan a workshop to meet the needs of your organisation’s governance groups and/or work teams.
